An incredible wine, lush, concentrated and fragrant. Not for the faint hearted, you'll either love it or hate it. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Pure ecstacy! The wine comes from 2 Ha of close planted old vines averaging 60 yrs old. If you don't know Condrieu, it is a small Appellation in the Northern Rhone. From Domaine George Vernay, only growing Syrah and Viognier.

NOSE: A very fragrant hedonist nose of ginger, peach, jasmine, apricot and hints of citrus.

PALATE: A rich and lush palate, with plenty of concentration, this wine is powerful and one of the few Condrieu's that could age for a few years. Dense and viscous in the mouth, showing apricot, peach, creamy butter and ginger. Incredibly long finish.
