Situated in the small town of Bouzy, Fromentin Leclapart is a producer making great value wines from the southern slopes of Montagne de Reims and Ambonnay. Their 30+ yr old vines are dominated by Pinot Noir (of which Bouzy is famous); 5.2 Ha total Grand Cru with 4.4 Ha Pinot Noir and the rest Chardonnay. They produce about 2500 cases.

Making 5 Champagnes and 2 still wines, including a Bouzy Blanc. Yes, a white Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards. Having tried all the wines, I was very impressed.

Given the predominance of Pinot Noir the wines tend to be fuller and rounder in style. Great value and well worth trying.
